Abstract

Arrester is a device used to protect equipment and electrical systems against overvoltage that one reason is the surge of lightning. Because lightning is a natural phenomenon that the process can not be predicted about time and magnitude of the impulse currents, and if arrester hit by lightning impulse with high peak current value and than arrester is feared can not operate as it should. This research use three impulse current peak value there are 533.33A (0.03 pu), 3866.6A (0.3 pu) and 6858.7A (0.5 pu) tested at low voltage arresters. The test results shown the highest value of leakage current arrester at a maximum voltage of operation (Uc) after buffeted by the current impulse has a value of leakage current 0,32 mA, 0,33 mA and 0,33 mA respectively, still below 1 mA (corresponding international standard IEC 61643-1 Edition 2.0 03/2005). Based on the value of leakage current, it can be said that the arresters in good condition and have not changed the characteristics of volt-ampere (current leaking still relatively the same) and still have good insulating properties even after the current impulse overwritten. The highest value of residual voltage arresters at the peak impulse voltage 10 kV, 15 kV, 20 kV and 24 kV, is 1124 Volt meaning that the margin has exceeded the limit of endurance voltage VW1 class (1000 Volts) amounted to 112.4%, and not exceed the VW2 (2000 Volt) amounted to 43.5%, according to ISO standard 04-7021.21-2004, arresters can be used to protect the electrical equipment with voltage endurance on VW2 class.

Abstract

Concrete has high compressive strength that is capable of supporting a large and heavy structures. But concrete has a low tension strength and brittle nature (Brittle). The weakness of this concrete properties can be improved by providing treatment such as provide fiber. There are several fibers that can be used to improve the properties of concrete and one of them is the steel fibers. Steel fibers possess the strength and modulus of elasticity which is relatively high. Moreover steel fibers do not change the shape of the influence of alkali in the cement. Imposition in a long period o f time does not affect the mechanical properties of steel fiber. Bond in the composition of the mixture can be increased because fastening mechanically. The study used the steel shavings and fiber materials Harex SF. The aim of this examination was intended to determine the coefficient of concrete fiber orientation at the same time the value of flexural tension strength of concrete produced in the concrete mix wearing Harex SF fiber or steel shavings. Steel fiber used in this study using the percentage of 1 until 4 percent of the weight of the concrete mix and perform quality control for the split tension strength of concrete at 28 days. From this research, the percentage of 3 percent as the optimum value based on the ease of doing the concrete (workability) used for research flexural tension strength of concrete and fiber orientation coefficient of concrete in the concrete with steel shavings and concrete with fibers Harex SF. From the testing that has been done shows: flexural tension strength fiber-reinforced concrete Harex SF 3 percent of 5,037 MPa and flexural tension strength of concrete with steel shavings of 11,035 MPa and the coefficient offiber direction concrete well with fiber Harex SF and shavings o f steel both are between 0 and 1 (0 less than or equal to eta of phi less than or equal to 1) with an average value close to 0, which means both fibers are working properly so that is proven to increase the tension strength offlexural concrete.

Abstract

Aluminum alloy AA 2024-T3 is widely applied in the aircraft industry because it has good mechanical properties such as; light weight, good conductivity and the corrosion resistance. However Aluminium 2024-T3 susceptible to wearing. One method to improve the wear resistance o f AA 2024-T3 is the anodizing process. The aims of this research to study the effect of current density and anodizing time against the hardness of aluminum alloy AA 2024-T3. The process of anodizing was carried out using 10 percent sulfuric acid solution with the current density of 1.5 Ampere per decimeters square, 3.0 Ampere per decimeters square and 4.5 Ampere per decimeters square with immersion times of 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes. Furthermore, the surface hardness was measured by using the Vickers hardness test method. As the supporting data the composition of the test conducted, testing the microstructure, and vickers hardness test. This study shows that the surface hardness of aluminum alloy AA 2024-T3 is influenced by the current density and anodizing time with varying values. Its shows that higher current density o f the anodizing caused optimal time tends to be short. The longer anodising time it will produce greater layer of aluminum oxide.

Abstract

Aceh Tamiang is the province o f Aceh. The use of electrical energy is still not resolved in this case because of the lack of appropriate policies that can be taken because there is still no research how the amount of electrical energy consumption in Aceh Tamiang. the research method used is a model based approach to End Use of data population and households, the data GDP at constant prices, and consumption of electrical energy. All data is sourced from related agencies such as Bappeda Aceh Tamiang Data PLN Kuala Simpang branch. Forecasting electric energy consumption in Aceh on five sectors is the year 2013 was 48.8 GWh, while, in 2030 total energy consumption reached 76.5 GWh, this is an increase of 63.7 percent. The household sector accounted for the largest increase in consumption compared with other sectors for each year.

Abstract

The introduction of color to children under three years of age is done by providing and explaining objects favored by children, such as toys and food, which have certain colors so that children recognize colors at that age. Unlike adults, how to introduce color in children does require a different way, in addition to the objects and food, in this study the introduction of color in children is done by using the software that is installed on the smartphone using the image to speech. This method is expected to be more easily carried out and the results are expected to be maximum because of equipment smartphones today the price is very affordable and are often used by children ages two until three years old to play games.

Abstract

Junior and Senior High School is the period for what we called unstable of “Anak Baru Gede (ABG) ”. Application of high technology like internet, is the ordinary things for students of Junior and Senior High School in Yogyakarta, which is used for doing their homework. Nevertheless, high tech is usedfor looking friends through Facebook, Twitter, etc as well. Nowadays, ABG are always curious of the new things, that lead them to inappropriate research. Even more, lack of parents concern is impacted to immoral behavior. Besides, negative environment gives the fundamental factor to immoral behavior as well. Hence, it effected to mentally and morally degradation. The objective o f this research is for identifying the role of society to ABGs mischievousness in Yogyakarta. This research is used qualitative approach with case study s methodology to obtain data and description related to ABG s mischievousness in Yogyakarta. Next, is using Logistic Regression analysis to analyze the connection. The result is Y=4. 7451.054 X equation. Hence, it concluded that increased one unit of societys role will decrease the degree of ABG s mischievousness by 1.054.

Abstract

The development of high-performance engineering products made from natural resources is increasing worldwide. Kenaf plants have been extensively exploited over the past few years. Chemical treatment is considered to modify the fiber surface properties. In this study, kenaf bast fibers were treated with various concentrations of NaOH with different immersed time, immersed temperature, and dried temperature. Fiber bundle tensile were performed to evaluate the effect of treatments on the fiber tensile strength. Taguchi Methods are used in order to obtain the optimal parameter which could affect the tensile strength of kenaf fibers. Three-Level Orthogonal array is used to design the experiment. Finally, the experimental results will be evaluated using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The analysis of variance (ANOVA) shows that the most significant alkali parameter is NaOH concentration, which accounts for 40.19 percent of the total. It is also found that the optimum treatment is kenaf immersed in 3 wt. percent NaOH solution for 1 hour at 33 degrees celcius and dried at 60 degrees celcius which is supported by the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy.

Abstract

Longitudinal floor beam structure is a rod that serves to support the weight of the passenger seat, the passenger load and luggage on airplanes. Bending load received by the structure continuously during flight operations cause damage (cracks). The presence of cracks in the structure of the repair needs to be done to ensure the safety of the aircraft during operation. Structure Repair Manual (SRM) is a guide issued by the manufacturer of the aircraft maintenance company to do the repair. In SRM was not stated clearly that the repair is safe. To determine the level of safety o f longitudinal floor beam structure repair Boeing 737-300 fractured analysis is needed also to determine the effect of the number of fasteners to the strength of the modified structure. Modeling and analysis of longitudinal structural floor beam using CATIA V5R16 software. Imposition o f the structure using a bending load due to the load compartment main cabin. Four models are made in accordance with the repair of such structures to handle SRM model fractured. Modifications done by reducing fastener types BACB30FN6 6 to 5 and 4 fastener on the upper area of the beam. Static analysis performed on models with CATIA V5R16 to determine the safety o f the structure is based os margin of safety.The results of analysis that the longitudinal floor beam structural repair the fractured secure against bending loads. The use of a modified structure repair by reducing the number of fastener would increase the critical stress that occurs, but the structure is still safe to load.

Abstract

Three-dimensional applications has evolved penetrated in almost all areas of work, especially in the field of multimedia and other virtual media. Offeature films, television, print design to production games. LightWave 3D is a software that can model an object once animate. This research model a 3D object using LightWave Modeler then analyzed the results of modeling using graphic editors in LightWave Layout. To connect between LightWave Modeler and LightWave Layout used LightWave Hub. Analysis using the graphic editor can make a better model for the selection of each layer more detail.

Abstract

The development of todays technology has been developing very rapidly and carry a very big change because with the technology information can be obtained quickly, accurately and not limited by time and place. One o f the growing sectors in technology development is in the field of tourism which contributes to distribute information about the attractions more interactive, especially through Internet technology. Yogyakarta has a variety of tourist attractions that are so beautiful, but not many people know the various tourist attractions in the area. Information on tourist places will be known if given a forum to exchange information on the matter in the form of a website. In order to generate tourism website in accordance with the wishes of users, the necessary methods of User Centered Design (UCD) based to the user. It is intended to provide information for tourists so it will be easier to plan excursions according to what they want without hesitation choose the desired attraction. Tourism information system was built using PHP as a programming language and MySQL as a database manager. This information system design using the UCD that engage users by providing input in the form of a questionnaire. This information system contains the profiles sights, means of transportation used and distance traveled. Other facilities that can be enjoyed for information about travel agents who can serve a trip out of town, and the inn (hotel). To implement this system needs the previous test program testing and system testing and then be evaluated. The information system created is a system that is capable of displaying objects on the map and provide information on the map if the object is selected, the user can view more detailed position of an object to be searched. For site owners can perform additional object data without having to perform the construction site from scratch, in this case both the data on a map or information. By making this system the objects displayed on the map always updates that facilitate and assist the user in doing excursions in Yogyakarta.
